The Reconstruction Tour was designed as an opportunity to test out the Phase I Construction and the new interior it created. We also had some shiny new tires on the Ark and we were anxious to see how it rode. A major factor of this trip was to drive to Washington, D.C. and pick up John’s sister’s furniture and other more fragile items that wouldn’t go on an airplane or enjoy a life in a dumpster. We were a moving truck, except without legal registration or license plates (yet). We did have insurance finally, which was good for something when we had some brake overheating issues in a National Park and a constable showed up to make sure we weren’t up to nefarious means.

The lack of pictures is because we were still nervous as hell about our chances of success, combined with a major lack of sleep on this voyage.
